Passing Me On

Location

Ever since elementary

you have been telling me

that everyone is unique

in their own special way

but now you heard us like sheep

every single day

You allowed us to be free

in order to build our own personality

now in high school you treat us all the same

Sit down, shut up, and pay attention.

it really is a shame,

that passing us through is your mission

Now there’s kids in class that can’t add two and two

see, this is what you do!

just passing us along

we never learn

what you do is wrong

no wonder we crash and burn

you think we are all just idiotic fornicators

but we are products of our makers

quality over quantity

has always been the key

but I can’t add three and three

so why are you still passing me?
