Passing Out

Blackness besieged me; Everything went ashen and cloud-like; As if surrounded By a layer of a gray cats’ fur. It seemed like rays of light were here. My inner depths were filled with fear. Something was wrong. I was leery. I longed to stay ‘Till the feelings came, When the grayness was strange; I was fighting it, Which pulled me out Of this terrible zone, Back to real life, To mom on the phone; Nine-One-One was on the line.
