Passion

In this world, I can do anything. Any way I want

But I cannot live without the single thing for which I hunt.

It isn’t fame or money that drives me to succeed

It isn’t trends or material things that I find I really need.

I have a certain sentiment for music that sweeps into my soul

The words, the rhyme, the melody create the lyrical pull.

Running through rain, my legs burning warm and strong

Blood pumping fast, my heartbeat carrying me along.

A warm blanket on a winter day, snuggled with a cup of tea,

An awesome book and a puppy next to me.

Watching the waves, and wiggling my toes deep into the sand

Dreaming about the future, and all that I have planned.

Giving back to people in need, in lots of little ways

Spending time in a pair of scrubs most of my future days.

Sharing laughs with family and friends

A zeal for life that simply never ends.

A world with zest for all things both grand and plain

Is all I need in my life, and having that, I would never complain
