Passion Making an Entrance
- Leave timid to limit at home
- Strap on lead with stilettos
- that tap dance with trance.
- Tonight your heart leaps
- before your loudest shrieks.
- We will pull stars into waters
- from passion, burning tempos
- from music of stretched joints.
- As I pull you closer your breaths
- become a fight for closeness.
- Your hand fits mine like gloves
- shiny with sweat and caresses
- draping from your shoulders
- all the way down to your hips.
- Our dance is us in advance.
- As I lift you up, your kicks
- defy gravity like magic tricks!
- Then your hair pins
- fall as your voice fades
- to the heartbeats in our steps.
- Take me to a dance you said,
- when all I needed was a chance
- from a glance turning into a trance
- from bodies in a stance.
- That’s passion making an entrance!
- Author's Notes:
- Passion and trance, lead and follow, are duets from the dynamics of the magic of dance. But when a dance becomes the trance that transcends performance into an "us" , that's passion making an entrance.
