A Passion for the world
Ever since I was small,
Science has fascinated me,
From the worms underground,
To the sky up above,
The books I read became answers,
To many questions I asked,
Science made me follow nature’s path,
From Chemistry to Biology,
To every life form on earth,
To every star in the sky,
To every galaxy ever known,
Held a question that I still didn’t know,
I remember catching fireflies,
Wondering why they glow,
How they illuminated such a beautiful light,
Watching them in fascination,
As I imagined it was a magic show,
I remember my first microscope,
Fascinated by all the things I couldn’t see,
Now that I think of it,
If I never had science I wouldn’t know where I’d be,
My years of joy to study and explore,
Has opened up a glorious door,
I knew my love of science will be for life,
I want to research about the answers never known,
Go to places I’ve never been before,
Dig under rocks, study the insects,
Be a kid again,
But doing it for work,
For a job in the sciences,
Will be a job I will forever enjoy,
Because the universe is filled with questions,
That no book may answer,
But science is a book,
You can find it all,
All you need is a microscope,
Or a lab of your own
A passion for science,
And the questions you wondered,
About the universe,
Or the earth down below,
Those questions will be answered,
And I guarantee those answers will now be known
