The Passionate Captain to his Love

Come live with me, my love

And we will sail through stars above;

For in my flights, through darks and lights,

Your beauty has not been matched thereof.

Of all the nebulae I've seen,

None are brighter than your eyes.

Your smile is the sweetest that's ever been,

And will be after sunlight dies.

Though we are not near vast as space,

Even comets slower than our aging,

I need but see your cheerful face

To set my heart's warm embers raging.

Throughout the cosmos we would dance,

Our hearts like Earth and Moon in orbit.

Love would keep us in a trance,

With all of time to just absorb it.

If, indeed, your knowing mind

Would be, to this, in favor of,

Then leave this dying rock behind.

Come fly with me, and be my love.
