Passion's Prevail

"You're gifted; if only you'd apply yourself,"
he's told for eleven years.
"They don't know me like I know myself."
The boy loves but envies his peers.
"No awards to be shown on my shelf,"
In vain, his sweat and tears!
"You can't; dare not try!"
summarizes his fears.
Two paths coincide,
three entities collide,
a Book, a Boy, a Battle,
a ringing bell doth rattle.
"You must, you can't not!"
His heart pleads
to his self esteem
to begin repair
and bring to life his dream.
