Past

The past that disturbs our presents

Haunts the future that lies before us

Holding onto my inner thoughts

Delusional in my own state of mind

Anxiety sets upon my weakened chest

Preying on my unprotected mind

Awakened by the shadows that surrounds

My inner being

Vanishing from the shadows

Until unseen

Past is the past

Of what we cannot control

What the eyes cannot bear to see

Memories that we hold

Is all untold

Moments of the truth

Unwritten paths that we hold

Believing in what we know

Dreaded haste dwelling in my soul

The time has come

To let it go
