The Past

Is it strange

That I have this feeling

It's been years since I lived

My life has passed by

So fast, so invisibly

I've had no time to use it

If I could catch it

Perhaps I'd have a chance

But it is faster than me

It whirls by in a blur

A streak of pure light

With only a single stroke of darkness

Penetrating it's walls

Like a single tear dripping down a cheek

Like a single raindrop falling from the sky

It makes no noise, for it cannot speak

It has no body, for it does not want to be seen

If only I could find it

And live my life through

If only I had a life again

So I could have a real past, too
