The Past

Dear,

You know me well

But I feel as if we never met

This innocence you once had

I feel as if it vanished before

Me

Why did we change?

Yet, why are we the same?

I need not say your name

Because when I look at you I see a reflection

An image of what I once was

Where do I start?

I have so many things that need to be unveiled

So many secrets that mean nothing

To you, to me, and to everyone

So many layers to break through

Yet beneath all of that

Is you and I

Friend,

We have to catch up

But I am afraid you cannot

Because you are lost

You are me
