The Past
What do I have to say?
I'm entirely at fault,
I thought I could hold on,
The past looked to good,
I guess I was food,
Cause it swallowed me whole.
I couldn't resist,
Day after day it called me,
Like a spider interwoven in webs,
I walked aimlessly.
I tried so hard to see,
I tried so hard to reach,
I'm blinded,
Blinded by my inability to let go,
I guarded my soul.
No one could enter,
I've made my past the center,
Somebody please come in,
I'm tired of living here,
I coward in fear.
My future awaits,
A beautifully created melody,
Harmoniously singing from a distance,
Can you hear the sound?
Your dreams are calling,
The world sits patiently,
The night time is coming.
Hey!
Wake up,
Don't let the past tie you down,
There's so much to discover,
So many lives to uncover,
Believe in what you see,
There's so much you can be.
