A past
I wish I could forget my past,
the words that were said,
the action that were caused.
I wish I could forget everything,
just a memory,
a past one.
I wish I could forget the former me,
the one that caused harm,
the one that held the weapon.
I wish I could forget nothing
and just evaluate,
but it’s only begun.
My thoughts are spun
into a series of blurs,
making me forget life.
My mind is strung up
and hung on a wire,
set out to dry in the morning sun.
My body beat and tortured
just purely for fun
and I just don’t care.
My soul washed
to strip away
the dirt and grime.
My whole existence
was once nothing,
but now I’m here.
