To the past and future me

Hey past me

a mix of what I hate and love about myself

my bright smile, my cancerous bitterness

filled with happy memories and awkward situations

only a faint memory of who I used to be

as I run faster toward future me

past me, you will be left behind

only alive im my memory

that future me is everything

that I know I will be

my hopes come true, my dreams made real

all is within my future me

so hey past me it was nice I guess

to see you again

but as I get

closer

and

closer

to who I was meant to be

past me, you will soon only be

a distant memory
