The Past has Passed #BecauseILoveYou

Because I love you I do not worry about where you've been

Because I love you I do not factor who you were into who you are

Because I love you the people of the past stay in the past

Because I love you I do not judge what happened with this or that

Because I love you I do not concern myself with petty details

Because I love you the warmth from my arms outweighs the cold you felt

Because I love you the future is allowed to progress

Because I love you your eyes shine brighter to me than a thousand sun rises

Because I love you I look up to you no matter how short you are

Because I love you I don't feel homeless anymore- you're my home

Because I love you I know who will be next to me in twenty years

Because I love you I feel safer than if I lived next door to a police station

Because I love you I am given the space to learn who I'm going to be

Because I love you we change alongside each other, with each other and for each other

Because I love you I am forever changed

Because I love you my future is bright
