Past, Present, Future

In these days of living

I spend most of my time reminiscing

Wishing I was a kid again

When I had my innocence

Back when the pain of the world

Was still a blur

Things didn’t me hit me then

Negative nightly news didn’t occur

Now I sit back and watch the action

How are we still here?

How did it all happen?

Life is full of trials

Because we live troublesome lifestyles

I don’t know why

What do I tell my future child?

Talk about the good times

Or about how the other times were wild

New generations are innovating

But old ignorance keeps penetrating

Weak words are so pestilential

We need strength in more individuals,

It’s essential

Life is full of flying

And failing

Most followers can’t even take

A leap of their own faith

That’s why they’re tailing

Getting dragged along

The rough edges of life

No matter what

It’s up to you to do right

Reside in the right mind state

Be above the influence

Stay away from the hate.

Now. Go. Be. Great.

I write because I feel. I feel because I think about where we are today, where we've many times before, and where aim for many tomorrows. To say I'm content would be an overstatement. To say I'm grateful would be an understatement. I'm seeking collective liberation through a medium in which I have yet to fully explore. I desire harmonic convergence for YahWeh's kingdom in this life and beyond.
