Past Present New Beginning

Do you remember that girl that talked about her step-dad raping her yeah I do why does this go unjustified why must she hid her pain with smiles and laughter the sound of his voice gives her chills as if shes freezing outside in December The sounds of screaming, begging yelling STOP!! Get off me haunts her like a nightmare come true his eyes laughing, smile as he goes and touches her kisses and says he loves her in the back of her mind she's saying get off me I HATE you! Stop STOP! running down the hallway she screams mama help me! tell him to stay away going around crying and screaming when she can be dancing and singing she is raped with no one to help her when she screams it's like the sound of a train blowing so loud it drowns out all noise when she's not even able to fight But now that she knows that wasn't right now she has to sit back and hold tight holding so tight to not lose her life now thinking back on her life she realizes that she doesn't have to go through this thinking that she has no one someone that she can depend on she starts turning to the wrong people people who she thought would make her feel equal she thinks why can't we have nine lives looking back on all the pain and strive Is singing and dancing the only way to cope she needs someone to give her a whole lot of hope if you think about the struggle and the way she really lived you'll see that she's not just an ordinary kid now when you see her she's a shining star reason why is cause she sets a high bar now she doesn't have to cry or scream all she thinks about is her crazy wild dreams now trying to do her best and trying to stay like all the rest now she needs to find her dreams and have a man treat her like a real queen Only I define me in the brightness of my destiny
