Pasta and Eggs

I wake up in the morning and no one is around

Mom and Dade are at work, my brothers are at school

I am the only one making a sound

I get out of ed and turn on a radio station I know they hate

I go to the ktichen, make some coffee, and add in my "gross" pumpkin flavored coffee mate

I start to make breakfast, pasta and eggs, something they would say is strange

I've tried to get them to try it but they refuse, I guess there are some things you cant change

My favorite song comes on the radio and I dance because I am alone

If people were here they would laugh and they would jeer and tell me to stay in my zone

They would tell me to stick to what I do best

Making good grades and passing my tests

But that just isn't me.

I like music and dance

Pumpkin, pasta, and eggs

And when I'm home alone

that is when I feel free
