Patches of Sun

Patches of sun Filter through the windows Squares of warmth in winter A scrap of solace in the cold Particles of dust Spiraling in the air A swirling song of harmony Mesmerizing the daydreamer Once you step inside There are a million of them All clamoring to caress your skin Begging for your attention They give you a warm welcome Sprinkling you with golden dust And when you step out You’ll know you have a kiss from the sun
