The Path

This path they say I should take.

A vet I should be they say every day.

I think I should be a writer and create better days.

I would think of stories that are between funny and sad.

I’d have a lot of fans holding up pop cans.

A writer I will be, and everyone will see,

the path they chose for me, is not the one for me.
