The Path of Life
I take what I need and venture alone,
For the path of life is riddled with stone,
With bumps and curves on every turn,
So take a moment, slow down to learn,
To live in the moment, to have no fears,
To love all that you've got, to shed no tears,
For loneliness can’t be cure with possessions,
For hearts can only be filled with affections,
And the bags we carry won’t hold the pain,
So let it all go and dance in the rain.
For while all paths might end the same way,
It’s the choices we make, day by day,
That determine who we are and what we do,
So don’t fear the path that is in front of you.
