The Path of Life

Darkness and silence engulf the world Until the first brilliant beams of sunlight Emerge from the darkness and breathe life Into the surrounding landscape. The darkness fades to pale shades of pink as Glorious, golden sunlight slowly creeps over the horizon, Marking the fresh start of a new day. The golden, glowing orb makes his way across the heavens, Travelling higher and higher, striving to reach The turning point of his path. But once he reaches his prime, the glimmering globe Lingers, brightly boasting and illuminating His victorious path across the skies, Wishing to remain there for just a moment more. Though he yearns to linger on, The inevitable descent soon begins. Golden tones gradually fade to deep indigo Until he eventually passes into the peaceful void of night.
