Path of Our Destruction

You were going to marry me One day soon But I didn't know that, baby Because you had decided that I That I no longer loved you Because you had decided To no longer believe in me You were passive "I thought that you were no longer in love with me So I decided to wait it out And if you were still here When it was over I'd marry you" You stopped trying And unwittingly Begun the path of our complete and utter Destruction When you no longer believe in one's love You stop treating them in the way You should And in turn They stop believing in you You were going to marry me, love But that is no longer so.
