Paths
I stand between
The two entrances,
The two tunnels
They pose to me
An important question.
To my left,
It is pitch black.
What lurks ahead,
Invisible to me.
The entrance is
Seemingly hollow,
Gaping at me.
To my right,
The light burns.
The danger's shadows
Fly across the floor,
Making themselves known.
the path is bright,
And terrifyingly small.
The path to my left
Taunts me continuously..
The path to my right
Begging for my presence.
Both asking me
Their question
Of Fate and Fortune-
Which path is
Mine to take?
