Patience

Whether alone in my room

Or drifting through space

Stranded on an island

No matter the case

All I could ask for is patience

Send me adrift

In the silence of night

Watch me rock through the mist

Until I'm out of sight

The ocean seems so big

And you seem very small

When nothing in the world

Really matters at all

Except for the sand

And the birds and the peirs

And the waves I've sent back

To wash away all your tears

Let the wind push you back

To a world that needs you

And do many great things

So I'll be proud when I see you

When your time has come

For a journey at sea

Look for a light

That reminds you of me

For I have been waiting

For you

Patiently
