Patience and Creativity
Just like every second of the day
Creativity cannot be rushed
It’s something we all have
And what makes us
US
But something overlooked
Underestimated
Thought of as a joke
She told me I had 5 hours
Only 5 hours
To write the poem
The poem that would change my life
But I told her one thing
And one thing only
Creativity is a beauty that mustn’t be rushed
Then she told me I had 10 hours
As if only 10 hours would make any difference
But creativity is something that needs patience
It’s something that always needs me to be passionate
Not for only 10 hours
And surely not for only 5
But for every hour I live and breath
So I told her one thing
And one thing only
Creativity is a beauty that mustn’t be rushed
Finally, she told I had all the time in the world
Still she knew nought
Creativity is a delicacy that needs all the time
In the world and beyond
I can’t rush to the ideas
I have to wait for them to rush to me
because
Creativity is a beauty that mustn’t be rushed
