Daughter of mine

I know I am supposed to be your teacher

Your provider

Your counselor

Your guide

I know I am supposed to be your mother

And your role model

But you have taught me so much more than you will ever know

You have taught be to see the world through innocent eyes

And to have an imagination makes the best games

You have given me the motivation and strength 

To be better than my best

To work hard and giving up is no option

Sharing is caring

And to love is the only way to live

Selflessness is next to godliness

And to wear what you like, not what others like

I am more confident and comfortable

Because you accept my flaws

And most importantly, you have taught me 

The benefits of unconditional love

To say that I love you more than words can say

Is the understatement of understatements

Thank you is not enough

I appreciate you still does not cover it

But I will say that I will spend the rest of my life

Trying to pay you back for everything you have unknowingly done for me
