Patriot

This man fought for his country,

Men died by his side.

He fought for our freedom,

And he did not hide.

He battled on high seas,

And climbed the hill in victory;

Past the dead and above the trees,

He displayed the Flag for all to see.

When there seemed to be no escape,

He did not flee, even though he was pinned.

His loyalty and love threw the Flag up like a cape,

And there it fly's up in the wind.

Although he was wounded several times,

He persevered and continued to fight,

And the enemy fell back to the chimes,

Because none could fight off this Patriot's might.
