Patriotism / Abu Karim

If the national borders are abolished from the map of the

world, passport will not be needed to travel abroad.

The profession of manpower exporting will be hampered.

The century old passport department will be abolished.

People will go from one country to another,

from one continent to another only for pleasure

travels or for employments.

As a citizen of a poor country I want a world

free from passport; let the destitute find work

all over the world, but as long as there is the

identity of a country, if there are guards in the borders,

there are passport, visa, the sanguinely angry visa officers.

Let there remain our patriotism, our mind be satisfied

with the scent of the soil of our land, our bosoms be filled

with the color of flowers of our land, let our throats

be full with songs having the rhythm of our language,

let our dear birds let out melodies in their songs.
