pause

as the clock ticks by

we lose those perfect moments

we rush through our lives

not breathing in the sweet air

with plans from one hour to the next

giving us no time to meditate on being

we lose the very essence

of this world we call home

as we fly from place to place

as if each will catch fire

if we dont move fast enough

we move faster than the ind

blowing behind us as we run

in doing so, we miss the colors

the flowers, and the sunsets

why can't time stop

and the world just pause

so people can soak up the beauty

of this world we belong to
