Paws who wonder in my backyard
As I look out my window, I see their eyes watching
they seem to be looking and wandering around my backyard
they are cold, hungry, and lost.
I'm not a cat lover, but I can't imagine their journey that led them here
I hear their cries in the middle of the night.
I open my eyes, but what can I do?
I've never taken care of an animal
Why would someone harm a poor creature like this?
They trust us to take care of them and provide for them,
Why do they harm them?
Let them go, but somehwere where they will be better off
Not here, where they will be ignored.
Somewhere where they belong.
Give one a home.
