Pay the Ferryman
Laying you to rest has never been easy
Leaving you where you belong gets easier everyday
One step forward
Followed by two and three
I remember when you carved us into that tree
It will grow and die as is the cycle
Filled with lies and deceit
You tossed and burned all we were
Those marks are the only remnants of what used to be
I am like that tree
You cared marks in me
That only with time will deal and disappear
I can feel you as you lay there
Helpless, defenseless and all too easy to destroy
Paying penance for the harm you've caused
I'm a thousand miles away
You're in the last place you ever wanted to be
With only yourself to blame as you've made your own cage
Inside that mind so filled with filthy illusions
And some you've managed to fool
But not me
I see you for who you are
I see you for what you are
I leave you as you are
As the end draws near
A reaper creeping closer
Kharon won't be accepting the standard price
A dankake over your lips will not suffice
A piece over your mouth for your maniplulative tongue
A single over each eye for those you failed to see
A stack over your silent heart
I pray that pay the ferryman, send you on your away
Far enough that next time around you'll remember
Damage once done
Finally learn your lesson
For I am as old as Time they say
If I cannot teach your heart
Become the essence of Life
Be reborn to that tree
Give us breaht of new life
Give shelter and bring hate to none
This I will leave to those above me
Because after all, I'm just here to pay the ferryman
