Peace

The lights of the building act as a beacon to the skies,

Imbuing the air throughout the balcony with warmth.

The traffic below purrs,

And a couple intermingled in thought gazes at the stars,

Appreciating the immutable cosmos.

The brisk air has not reached them as they sit in reverie.

Amidst the dark the couple shares three words.

And there is Peace.
