At Peace
She said she loves it when I love myself
So when I called myself beautiful,
She didn't call me arrogant or full-of-myself but,
Simply smiled and replied, "yes you are."
She likes making me smile,
But favors when I make myself smile.
So she never laughs when I fail
And is never jealous when I thrive.
I never have to hide,
I am never in doubt.
She never judges,
And never tries to change me.
"Love is patient,
Love is kind."
So when I think of her,
I am at peace.
