Peace
World peace is something
that won't happen in my lifetime,
The way that people are today
it feels like it won't happen in any lifetime,
From the mass shootings at schools
to the killings of misinterpreted people,
Living in this life is about survival
Not loving and helping people,
Society is so corrupted,
Kids with less envy those that-
have life handed to them,
The thought of a child not having-
a place to call home
just proves how messed up life can be,
Everyone should have a place to call home
where they can feel safe and be free,
Children having children,
Not understanding the purpose of being a parent,
Nobody knows how to be the perfect mom or dad,
So why be so selfish and give your child up for-
adoption?
Although a lot do that choice for a genuine reason,
Many do that choice for a selfish one as well,
They don't stop to think the hardships that child will go through,
The foster care system isn't something that is always reliable and trustful,
Shout out to the people who have to go through,
Things like abuse,
Sexual, physical, and emotional
The effects of abuse can be life threatening
The pain and hurt can mold out a murderer
Or someone who grows to be just like their abuser,
My wishes are granted to the knowing that-
some people get through it,
Growing up to be a successful person,
Both happy and unbothered,
My life is a prime example-
of getting through the storm,
As I close this chapter of childhood,
It is time for me to search for my new home.
