Peace

What if we all got along?

Would there be a difference between right and wrong?

Would blacks have been treated with such anger and distaste?

Or would faith and respect be the definition of hate?

And if the Twin Towers never did fall,

Those buildings and families would be still standing tall.

What if we all got along?

Then maybe we could all sing the same song.

Maybe we would be open to love.

All types of love, not just that from above.

Even Heaven and Hell would be known as one.

A place full of hope, a place for everyone.

What if we all got along?

Maybe someday the world will be strong.

Humble and modest.  Peaceful and quiet.

When the day comes, maybe we’ll all try it.

Try to show care and compassion towards others.

Asians and Germans.  Sisters and brothers.

Hopefully, soon we will all sing this song… then I won’t have to ask…

What if we all got along?
