Peace in America

Tue, 02/12/2019 - 17:06 -- PRBLM

Maybe just maybe today

I hope and I hope it will be

I've been waiting for a long time

For racial equality and justice to come

Maybe the day will never come

But that chance is slim

For advocates around the country

Are standing up for us

Fight strong fights

Defeating the past

Slowly building a bridge to the future

But once in a while

A person cuts the rope down

But an army of strong fighters build it up again

This bridge gets stronger every day

For there are many people out there

That put everything else aside

And fight for peace in America
