Peace in Death Achieved
Forgetfullness we all wish to achieve,
Yet when it comes its hard to percieve.
Laughs, smiles and jokes,
Only now turn into needle pokes.
Tears, frustration and saddness,
Can't you wash away the unbelievable maddness?
Memory eating disease,
Doctors trying to keep you at ease.
My best friend not remembering me,
How can this possibly be?
Once vibrant and shining
Bound to her chair waiting for her timing.
Frustrated to be unable to perform simple tasks,
Only to hear the doctor's state disheartening facts.
Alzheimer's disease taking,
Only to leave you waking.
Forgetting bits and pieces of yourself everyday,
All we can do is trust and pray.
We love you to the moon,
We only wish once more to hear your singing tune.
Brightness fading,
We know your waiting.
Wishing and pleading for you to be at peace ,
Waiting patiently for you to dine at heaven's feast.
Years of fighting your last breath breathed,
Finally you can be relieved!
