Peace Of God
I look up to the moon and ponder
I’m so distraught does anyone care? I wonder
I fall to my knees tears streaming down my face
Behold a bright light, with feelings of grace,
Then I heard a voice say my child I’m here
Let me bear all your sorrows, doubts + fear.
My child my peace I leave with you, my peace I
give unto you… Let not your heart be troubled.
Neither let it be afraid!!
For soon you will be done with this journey I have made.
There will be streets of gold and peace unknown
For in a blink of an eye, I will welcome you home
And like that the light was gone away.
But in my heart the peace I now felt will always stay.

Personal crisis transformed by spiritual/abstract consolation and faith.
Multiple ideas: despair, divine intervention, promise of afterlife, comfort—moderately dense.
Begins despairing but resolves into strong positive peace and hope.
Emotional intensity rises; exclamation marks and dramatic vision create kinetic motion.
Approximately 17-18 lines; falls in 16-30 range.
Metaphors (light, streets of gold), personification, some imagery; moderate ornamentation.
Primarily lyric first-person, but includes reported divine dialogue and dramatic vision.
