A Peace of Mind

I used to think to myself, “why am I here?” I constantly dreamed, those dreams got shot down. I constantly overthunk, those thoughts got blocked and outcasted. I constantly wandered all over here and there, near or far. I searched and never could seem to come to a reasoning of my being. I turned 21, and I see it all clearer than I could’ve ever imagined. Theres moments I often used to think I have no reasoning to being here, and I honestly can also say not a day goes by I don’t think of ending it all. Times get hard, but there’s definitely a reasoning behind everything. The reasons I have to live for are waiting for me to seize them. Those reasons are the smiles from ear to ear, the self love to be built, the long hugs to give and receive, the loud laughs, the loud cries, the beautiful nature around me, the beautiful people around me, the sleepless nights as well as the overslept ones, the thunderstorms, the Art to see and create, the lies to be told and truths to be found, the silent and loud cries, the obstacles to be overcame, the cuddles, the goodbyes and farewells to be turned into see ya laters, most importantly the genuine, hard and constantly growing love to be given just as much as received. Life can feel like shit, but everything has a reason and it’s such a beautiful thing to be apart of. Life is truly what you make it, regardless what people may say or think of you always do what makes not only you but your soul truly happy. Whatever you set your mind on is what energy you’ll give as well as receive, so choose wisely what you set your focus on. The good things are always there just open your eyes and never take no for an answer. With that being said I am the still waters for which I must move fluently through my own path for my own self. PS: I know we always have times when we’re down and out, but just think about it.. the next time your down and feel like giving up stop and tell yourself how good of a story it’s about to be as a step towards bigger blessings. It’s all preparing you for your greater good. -Lakia Hunt (KiKi) #soulofrarity
