Peace in Passing

Light as a feather this ocean breeze feels As I walk alone letting my mind heal For today I was wrong but oh so right And may I feel his touch tomorrow night This ocean is vast and endless it seems Similar to my home surrounded by Kentucky greens The sand is soft and gives way to me Just like I wish my husband would be These birds are mocking me so white and free To be as free would bring my heart glee But what shall I do for the time be Since I can’t escape like a trapped flee Shall I continue my ways and love another Destined to be sent to the world down under Or shall I walk forever alone in vein Never knowing anything but this pain Radiant and beautiful this sun is this evening But oh what suddenness I feel for leaving For tonight I shall sleep all alone and cold With no warmth from his gentle hold
