Peace with rain

Pitter patter drip drop

As I sit by the window the whole world stops
Mid-day but dim as night
April showers but May it might
Quiet as am
Not a peep not a squeal
But the pitter patter drip drop of the rain on my window sill

Jazzy tunes of the roaring 20's
Flappers breaking the norm but still oh so pretty
Glitter skirts and 4inch heels
Dancing, laughing, fun but years

They're coming fast and the norm is raised
Shorter skirts and shorter days
4inch is 6inch, glitter now stripes
Friends at the mall, clubs are so hype

Pitter patter drip drop
You can have your fun while my whole worlds stops
Peace and quite
No peep nor squeal
In my room by the window
Alone and so still

Arizah

Well I love poetry and I'm very pessimistic person so a lot of my poetry reflects that. I'm not as depressed as my poetry makes me seem but I kind of just write what I'm feeling at that exact moment. So yeahhh that's me
