The Peaceful Haven

The wind whispers Calming, posing little threat But sometimes warns, Warns that it Could blow me away One single bud Against the time Holding on Though it is too cold A path Through the unpaved Winding and twisting Showing the way Trees bare Mountains strong I sit on this rock Where I belong All alone, In plain sight But no one thinks to look The scene Captures my attention Thinking of nothing Thinking of no one Not thinking at all But of the sight That makes me feel Like I'm in flight
