Peaceful Night

Its two o'clock in the morning And this house is silent No soul is awoken around me No wind is blowing Nor the sound of the crickets Late night creaks Nothing but the sound Of the soft even sound of my breath Escaping my lungs Ahh the sound of peace at last Peace at last I shut my eyes and lay against my pillows And I'll dream of a dream That is soon to come true So I'll think of life As i wish of a fantasy As i drift-- Into a deep sleep of peace at last Peace at last And i'll dream of a dream To good to come true.
