Peaceful Pondering

Sleep

It's conventional

Everyone does it

At every age

every night

for their entire life

But what if

we just

stopped?

I can't sleep

There's no time

Too much to do

It's not schoolwork

That is easy

Too much to think about

Too much has happened

No time

to process it

Day in

and day out

Pretending

Pushing it off

Acting like it's not there

The time that I should use to sleep

Instead I think

It is time for me

myself

my thoughts

my feelings

my life.
