Peacock Dancer


 

Seeing you in Chicago-

You were glorious-

A little peacock girl-

Soaring across the stage-

Commanding the Fosse moves so many dare to try-

And the shade of blue-

And your smile-

And your dark black hair-

And your shimmering skin-

All so glorious-

Like a spinning doll in a music box-

But you are real, and that’s what’s beautiful!
