Pebbles of My Spine
I asked the Beings
hopping up the pebbles
of my spine
if their pattering
feet left watery
prints on bone
-if such shadowed
splashes were forever-
or if most
slipped
on eroding stone
-a thousand Sprites
drowning-
how many
reach the summit
and bless
the river’s Source?
with tired tears and silvery
hairs
Please Sirs - a glance
in forehead’s window?
