Peeking Through the Eye Crust

I don’t like to wake up

I'm always greeted by yesterdays

upon yesterdays.

I yearn, nay

Feem

to bend my waist

and open my eyes

to a genuine newness.

I ache and twist inside to feel my head empty.

Just one morning.

I wish I could start

with

the feeling the freshness of an open vessel.

I remember that and I miss it like I miss my old self

from before I fell into all this obligation.

“love” chokes creativity.

I would like to go back to sleep, now.
