Pen and Ink

I painted pictures with paint

That could wash away

One day I decided that

I would make it stay.

Pen on Paint

Pen on color residue of pencil

Vibrance in jewel tones

Primrose

Portraits

All permanent

Pages of purple

Books of blue

So old they are New

It takes patience, you know.

Proper technique

Broken like Picasso

Brush strokes replaced with ink

I just do

I don't think

Splash of water

It all flows

I thought it would stay

It doesn't though

Running off the page

With every breath I take

Nothing is a mistake

I make life

The kind that

Words cannot describe
