Pen and Paper

Phones, internet, movies, and books

are all well and good.

But no charger, no more pages, no service

they become utterly useless,

no purpose at all.

Pen and paper,

or rather pencil and endless lead

and also endless paper (technicality),

to write down ideas and thoughts,

Novels or poems.

If I did not have such a love of writing,

I might say otherwise.

Addicted to technology, I would long for my phone.

However, thankfully, my hobbie

doesn’t require an outlet.

My hobbie, my life source,

is my mind, a pencil and paper are

simply a way to document

the daydreams and visions

Of other lives.

Stuck on an island

(granted survival is simple),

my entertainment is endless

so long as I keep dreaming

on a beach in solitude.
