Pen and Paper

I let my words flow because they need to be used

Not forgotten or thrown back with a fist or a bruise

I let my words flow because it's all I have

A poem, a letter is what's said on my behalf

I could scream or shout

But nobody would listen

Because my words run deep like my college tution

I let my words flow because they are who laugh

While I'm sitting outside taking notes on the past

And when I come to my senses or began to cry

That's when

I let my words flow because they know I have nothing to hide
